Step 3: Draw

This site does not log in to your social accounts and does not fetch comments by itself: you copy the list and paste it. See how to copy the comments.

How to pick a giveaway winner

Three steps, no account and nothing to install.

  1. Step 1: Paste the entries

Names, emails or the comments copied from your post, one per line or straight from the comment section.

  2. Step 2: Set the rules

How many winners and backups, one entry per person, friends tagged, a hashtag, accounts that cannot win.

  3. Step 3: Draw and share the proof

A winner card with a verification code, a link that repeats the result and an image to post.

In short: a giveaway winner picker chooses names at random from the list you paste, giving every entry the same chance. This one reads names and comments in the same tool, and it also gives each result a verification code and a link, so the people who entered can repeat the draw and see the same winner.

Only a list of names, such as a sign-up sheet, raffle tickets or a newsletter export? Use the random name picker. For the comments of a post, each network page explains how to copy them.

Example: 12 comments, tag 2 friends, 1 winner and 2 backups

Press “Try a sample” in the tool to load this same list.

From the pasted list to the result

12 comments were pasted, one per line.

The host account @host_shop cannot win: 1 comment out.

@leo tagged nobody and @ivy.q tagged one friend, and two are required: 2 comments out.

@anna_w posted the same comment twice: the repeated line is out.

@mia.bakes commented two different times and each account enters once: 1 comment out.

7 accounts take part: 12 − 1 − 2 − 1 − 1 = 7. Each has 1 chance in 7.

Seed used: 00112233445566778899aabbccddeeff

Winner: nina · Backups: sam.fit, anna_w · Code GT-0F9AE-0A8B0

The filters always run in the same order: accounts that cannot win, the required word or hashtag, the tagged friends, repeated lines and, last, extra entries of the same person. The summary under the tool shows how many entries each filter removed, so you can explain the count to anyone who asks.

With the seed above, the first name drawn is nina and the next two are the backups. Paste the same list with the same seed on the verify a giveaway result page and the code GT-0F9AE-0A8B0 comes out again.

Not confirmed.TikTok: we did not find one official TikTok page with promotion rules for ordinary creator giveaways (outside TikTok Shop), like the ones Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and X publish. The release and "not sponsored by TikTok" sentence in our template follows the other platforms and is a precaution, not a quoted TikTok requirement.

Frequently asked questions

How does the giveaway winner picker work?

You paste a list of names or comments, choose how many winners and backups you want and press Draw. The browser creates a random seed, shuffles the list with it and shows the winner card with a verification code and a link that repeats the same result.

Is it free? Is there a limit of entries?

It is free, there is no sign-up and there is no limit on the number of entries you paste. You can draw up to 200 names at once, counting winners and backups.

Does the site read the comments of my post automatically?

No. To read the comments of a post by itself, the site would need a login to Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook or X, or access to that network’s official API. This site has neither, so it does not fetch comments: you copy them from the post and paste them. Each network page explains how.

Is the draw really random?

The seed comes from the cryptographic random generator of your browser (crypto.getRandomValues), and the shuffle discards the numbers that would favour some positions, so every entry has exactly the same chance. The method is published on the verify page.

What are my chances of winning?

The tool shows them before you draw, using your list and rules. With one winner, each line that takes part has the same chance: 1 in the number of lines. A person with several lines wins if one of them comes out, so their chance is their lines divided by all the lines. With more winners the lines do not simply add up, because two lines of the same person can come out together and count once.

What is the verification code?

A short code such as GT-0F9AE-0A8B0, calculated from the list of entries, the seed and the names drawn. If the list or the result is changed, the code changes. Anyone with the same list and the proof link gets the same code.

Where do my list and the winners go?

Nowhere. The list stays in the memory of the page and is gone when you close it. The proof link carries the seed, the settings and the code, never the names.

What are backups for?

A backup takes the prize when a winner does not answer or does not meet the rules. Backups come out of the same draw, in order, and are covered by the same code, so you never need to draw again.

Can I use it for a raffle or a classroom draw?

Yes. Any list works, one name per line: ticket numbers, emails, students. If a name appears twice and you leave “Remove duplicate lines” off, it has two chances.
